Tributes to Nepal's Conservationists

The death of  24 people on board a World Wildlife Fund helicopter which crashed in September 2006 in eastern Nepal was not only a human tragedy, but also a catastrophe for the country of Nepal, which lost  most of a generation of its internationally renowned conservationists. Our Mountain Protected Areas Network remains actively engaged in many ways to help educate and help Nepali students who are planning to serve as conservationists in their country to preserve and protect its amazingly rich biodiversity.

Here are links to more information about these conservationists and our worldwide efforts to overcome this tragic loss.
