Mingma Norbu Sherpa Memorial Fund

The passing of Sir Edmund Hillary rekindled efforts to create a memorial fund for Mingma Norbu Sherpa, who perished in the September 2006 helicopter crash in Nepal. He was a visionary conservation leader from Nepal, and the memorial fund will foster a new generation of conservation leaders who will work to protect the natural and cultural heritage of the Himalayas.
