Mountain eco-tourism is one of the fastest-growing sectors of the travel and tourism industry, which is the largest commercial service sector industry in today's world. The effective management of mountain eco-tourism can create long-term economic benefits for many mountain regions of the world. Much is being learned about the benefits and impacts of eco-tourism in mountain environments, and our workshop will focus on understanding these issues and producing updated information and guidance for mountain region stakeholders.

This workshop is slated for November 2009 in Asia. Details will be published in the months to come. Check here for updates in 2009.
